MY STORY BEGAN WITH THE SAME DISCONNECTION YOU'RE FEELING NOW
After performing and competing in pole dance and burlesque since 2009, I found myself going through motions that felt increasingly performative. Like you, I was the queen of suppressing emotions - putting on a brave face for the world while feeling increasingly numb inside.
During the pandemic, pregnancy cracked me wide open - forcing me to slow down, feel deeply, and question my entire identity. What followed was a full spiritual awakening.
After having my second child, my relationship with pole had fundamentally changed. What once was about tricks and performance had evolved into something more profound - a pathway to embodiment, pleasure, and authentic expression.
In January 2024, after running my studio for 7 years (previously Iron X Fitness), I rebranded it to the sacred space it is now - EmbodiPole Sensual Arts - creating Ottawa's only pole dance studio dedicated to healing and reclaiming our sensuality, pleasure, and power.
